How does Sorano work?
Enter your flight details (or search by flight number) and set your sleep profile — your usual bedtime, wake time, and chronotype. Sorano calculates your CBTmin (Core Body Temperature Minimum) and generates a personalized day-by-day adaptation plan with precise timing for light exposure, sleep, caffeine, melatonin, and meals.
What are the two adaptation modes?
Full Adaptation is designed for longer trips (5+ days) where you want to fully adjust to the new time zone. Quick Turnaround is for short business trips (2–5 days) where you maintain your home schedule as much as possible to avoid double adjustment.
What is CBTmin?
CBTmin (Core Body Temperature Minimum) is the point in your 24-hour cycle when your body temperature is lowest — typically 2–3 hours before your natural wake time. It's a key marker of your circadian rhythm. Light exposure before CBTmin delays your body clock; light after CBTmin advances it. Sorano uses this to time all recommendations precisely.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, find Sorano, and tap Cancel. You can also manage subscriptions through the App Store app. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
How do I request a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support to request a refund.
How do I change my sleep profile?
Open the app, go to Settings, and update your bedtime, wake time, or chronotype. Note that changing your sleep profile will affect future plans but won't modify plans that are already in progress.
What if my flight changes?
If your flight is rescheduled or you change your travel plans, delete the current plan and create a new one with the updated flight details. The app will generate a fresh adaptation schedule based on the new times.
How do I enable notifications?
Sorano will ask for notification permission when you create your first plan. If you declined, go to iPhone Settings → Sorano → Notifications and enable them. Smart notifications remind you 5–30 minutes before each recommendation.
Is Sorano a medical device?
No. Sorano provides general wellness recommendations based on published circadian rhythm research. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical concerns.
Where is my data stored?
All your data (sleep profile, flight details, plans) is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers except flight number lookups via the AeroDataBox API. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all data.
Does the widget require a subscription?
The home screen widget is available to all users with an active adaptation plan. Some advanced features may require a subscription — check the app for current plan details.
